New smart home and cybersecurity partnership launched
UK communications giant EE has unveiled a new strategic collaboration with cybersecurity companies Norton and Verisure to deliver all-new customer packages for smart home and cyber security.
According to EE, the new partnerships are part of the UK company’s journey to becoming the most customer-focused brand for technology in the country. The collaboration also serves to highlight its ongoing commitment to introduce all-new services and products beyond simple connectivity.
EE’s recent expansion into the smart home security market comes as research uncovers that more than 12.7 million Britons plan to outfit their properties with a smart home security solution in the future. Out of this consumer group, a total of 56 per cent revealed that the ability to access the latest innovations in home security technology through a monthly payment system would make it a more attractive option to them. Furthermore, 49 per cent of respondents claim that the option to purchase a solution through an enterprise they currently subscribe to and having an expert installation would make the possibility of deploying home security systems more appealing.
The new EE initiative arrives via a partnership with the leading enterprise in home security for Europe, Verisure. As a result, the two organisations will work closely to advance the smart home security market for UK customers in the next few years by creating a new service called “EE Smart Home Security”, that will be powered by Verisure technology. EE has also partnered with cyber safety expert, Norton, to deliver customers premium levels of online protection.
